Weather delay and update

written by Laurie December 11, 2014

Northern California is having a major storm right now. We’ve had a ton of rain in the last 24 hours, about 7 inches in our rain gauge here already and it’s still coming down. The road to my house has some flooding and we might not have mail service for a few days. We can probably get out tomorrow to mail packages, but not today. I will keep your orders safe here until we can get them out. Please allow an extra day or two, and possibly more if you live in an area that is also experiencing difficult weather. We do need rain, so this is probably good, but it’s a bit much of a good thing in a short timespan.

I just updated the shopping cart to a new version that is mobile friendly. Let me know if you notice any problems, but it seems to be working fine. I hope to make the whole site more mobile friendly next year.

I’ve had a high order volume the last few weeks with lots of packages going out. I’ve not had time to work on Amber Incense, but I hope to get back to that between Christmas and New Year’s.

Holy cow, that is a lot of rain, Laurie, in such a short time!!! Please stay safe and cozy in your home until it ends.

That’s what we’re doing! Luckily the winds haven’t been as bad here as predicted, but we’ve sure had a ton of rain! I’m up on a hill so there’s no flood danger near my house, but some of the roads around here have been closed until they can clear the water.

My Champagne de Bois arrived today…so even though the roof is leaking and the kids were going stir-crazy (all Oakland schools were closed)… all was well. I just love this fragrance!!!

Lol, thanks, Ann! Hang in there! Must be much harder dealing with a deluge when you have kids. 🙂 Hope the roof isn’t too bad.

Quick update: Things are getting back to normal here with orders going out again! The roads are clear and USPS is serving our area again.

I really enjoy perfume and began wearing it when I was a young girl. I’ve worn a variety from Jean Paul Gautier, Chanel Madamoiselle, Bottega Veneta and Boucheron but tired of smelling like everyone else at the mall and the expensive ticket. I recently ordered for myself, as a Christmas gift, 6 of your travel size fragrances to try…They arrived yesterday and…Oh. My. Goodness, they’re all lovely, intriguing, different. Forest Walk, Nostalgia, To Dream….just beautiful! Let’s just say, I’m not waiting till Christmas morning to enjoy them. Thank you for sharing your talent!!
