Update and Cocoa Sandalwood Review

written by Laurie February 4, 2013

I wanted to check in and give an update. I’m making good progress on taxes (yuck!) and resting my back. I don’t have a date yet for putting the cart back up but will let you know when I do. In the meantime, I am happy to fill any orders you may need for gift purposes. I’ve sent a few Valentine’s Day orders out.

There is a nice review of Cocoa Sandalwood today on The Black Narcissus. I feel good knowing that the sample brought Neil some fun distraction during a very intense exam time. Thanks, Neil, and good luck with the rest of your exams! 🙂

I posted about the Indie Fifi awards process a week and a half ago to explain how it works. Today fellow indie perfumer Ellen Covey of Olympic Orchids Perfumes also discusses the Indie Fifi award process on her blog called Perfume Project West.

I’ve not forgotten about having a little 9 year anniversary celebration (Feb is the month). I’ll see if we can do something before the month is out; if I get some Spiced Citrus Vetiver made we could hold a draw for samples of that and Cocoa Sandalwood.

I need to go see a CPA tomorrow for some help. Usually I use trusty TurboTax, but this year I need some additional help. I think I have just about everything ready to take in tomorrow. Will be nice when it’s done!

My back is improving for sure. It’ll be another week or two, but it’s already improved quite a bit.

I can’t believe it’s been 9 years!

I can’t wait to try more of your work! (the sample of Ensoleille knocked me off my feet the other night, but into deep (but beautiful) melancholia rather than happiness for some reason. The citrus vetiver sounds lovely as well. Desperate to sample the others!!!!

Wow! For me Jour Ensolielle evokes pure euphoria!

Me too: I actually gasped in bed and woke Duncan up, but then it was as though dark clouds suddenly eclipsed the sun, and I couldn’t work out why. A FASCINATING scent.

Congratulations on SSS’s 9th anniversary, Laurie. And I hope that this year’s paper work is much easier than last year’s.
You’ve come a long way! Keep up the great work.

xoxo

Thanks, Ann! I’ll have to do a separate anniversary post w/ a draw in a week or two.
