Sonoma Scent Studio Updates

Sunset a few days ago

written by Laurie November 12, 2010

Couldn’t resist snapping a couple quick pics as the sun went down behind the trees a few nights ago.  I didn’t have time to get to a decent vantage point but the color came out really true.  It was a gorgeous bright red sky.

Thanks Tania! I looked up out the kitchen window and saw I had to grab my camera and get out onto my front porch — a beautiful fleeting moment.

Hi Laurie,

Stunning photo!

Here in Maine (and probably everywhere else too) we say that a red sky at night is a sailor’s delight. Did you have nice weather the next day?

Thanks! Yes, we did have nice weather the next day. My grandma used to say, “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight; red sky at morn, sailors take warn.” Doesn’t always seem accurate here though — this morning sunrise was pink and it’s supposed to be nice today…
