Midweek update and link to drawing

written by Laurie September 1, 2010

You can enter a drawing for ten samples from Indie Scents today on the PerfumeSmellinthings blog; three winners will each receive ten samples. The blog also has quick sniff reviews of seven perfumes sold at Indie Scents, and SSS Rose Musc got a nice little mention.

The topic for the day on their blog is scents that are a good value, and they also have a coupon code for Indie Scents. Combined with free shipping on orders $75 or more, that may be tempting if you see something there.

I have a mod for Bouquet Blanc that I like and will send out a few testers to see if others like it too. If so, I’ll send out a few more. Also have a mod for a tweak to Lieu de Reves and need to make testers. Very close on both those formulas now!

I’m excited for these Laurie:)

Perfume makes my day (or night!)

I’m gonna try for the drawing but either way I will get a hold of these very soon. I still can’t believe Rose Musc and Lieu de Reves missed my smell radar as I adore roses , vanilla, violet and heliotrope ,vetiver and orris. YUM.<3<3

I do hope that you are feeling better and continue to get well.

Truly, Tamara

thanks Tamara! Forgot to say I took Lieu de Reves off the sample menu until I finish the tweak, but it won’t be long. The tweak is more complex than the original with a bit more rose, less musk, some added woodsy notes, and a tiny hint of cocoa in the base for yum factor. And I’m just trying a little olibanum. So far testers prefer it to the original. I’m preparing it for the Boutique Collection so these will be the final changes.

Thanks for the heads up! I signed up for the drawing and gave Tabac Aura for a value-priced treat (considering the high quality of your scents, they are a bargain!)

Hi Laurie,

I would love to be one of the people to try your first set of testers for BB. I’ve been waiting for it. Hope you are making a steady recovery! It sounds like it from your posts.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Beth! Know you’ve been waiting for BB. This might work for you. I’ll have testers before long. Hope to make some this weekend.

Hi Laurie,

I’m happy to hear about the tweaks to Lieu de Reves. Sounds interesting! Although I love the original, I can’t wait to try the new version.

Have you started thinking about the reformulation of Opal?

Thanks!
Ann C.

hi Ann! I’d love you to test the Reves tweak when I’m done. I don’t want to change it unless most people who like the original also like the tweak. I’ve been playing with the Opal formula a bit but have lots more to do on it yet.

Hi Laurie,

I’d love to test the new Lieu de Reves. I can do a side-by-side comparison. Sounds like fun!

OOH! We’re closer to the Bouquet Blanc! I’ve been lurking over here, checking to see if any progress has been made (and keeping your poor wrists in mind)>..
